Bird Watching

The agreeable climate and the diversity of species offered by the bays and marshes south of town are a bird watchers dream.

Clamming

During low tide you will find an abundance of clams at all three bays in San Quintín.

Hunting

The tidal flats and marshland just south of San Quintín provide good hunting for duck and goose in winter, and for quail all year long.

Water Sports

Calm waters make for ideal conditions for kayaking, water skiing, skidoing and other water sports in the bays.

Scuba Diving

Johnston's Seamount, 5 miles southwest of Cabo San Quintín, offers clear visibility, a plethora of sea life, and fascinating pinnacles and reef formation.

Surfing

Good surfing can sometimes be found at the beach break at Picacho, north of the bays, and at the point break at the end of the San Quintín peninsula.
